Lime Crime Makeup Opaque Lipstick is a range of lipstick shades that are both unexpected and intense. They are truly opaque and deliver tons of pigment.
Where is it intended to be used:
This product is intended to be used on the lips, though if you are going for a theatrical makeup look, or other crazy fun artistry look you could use these elsewhere on the face. They wouldn’t work well on the eyes, but if you are needing intense eye colors, Lime Crime has that covered with pressed and loose powders as well as liquid liners.
How does it work:
Lime Crime Lipstick is creamy and color dense, the formula itself does the magic and provides full color and coverage.
Who is the product good for:
Don’t be scared off by the crazy color range, there are a few great basics that work beautifully for any skin tone. These lipsticks are great for you if you are tired of buying a color of lipstick only to find out that your own lip color shines through too much and changes the shade to be different than what you see in the tube. These lip colors are also good for those who want a color rich lipstick with longer-than-average wear time.
How do you use it:
Apply directly from the tube, or with the more intense colors use a lip brush and possibly a lip primer to ensure that there is no feathering or straying from your natural lip line.
With trends like ombre lips and other fun flashes of color becoming more and more acceptable on an everyday basis, Lime Crime is going above and beyond to create products that meet these standards with quality and long wear times. Lime Crime Lipstick is truly opaque and amazingly color dense. I actually had my daughter try this out first, unbeknownst to me. She showed up in front of me to tell me her chores were done and there was a distinct D’Lilac color to her lips. She thought she could get away with using my new pretty lipstick with the unicorn on the tube without me knowing, but there’s no way that would get past me with these opaque lipsticks. She spurred me to try it the next day, playing with different coverage levels. If you dab the product on your lips then blend with your fingertip you can get less intense color which is nice for those going for a less in-your-face daytime look with fringe colors like D’Lilac or other unexpected shades. Full coverage on this product is easy to achieve and creamy. It also lasts longer than I had expected, giving me color through my entire evening out (a good six hours plus) before I removed it. All in all, the Lime Crime Makeup Opaque Lipstick is an outstanding product, just be quick to order as the more fun shades often sell out quickly.
